“It doesn’t matter if you’re a seasoned thrill seeker, or this is your first Scarefest – there’s something for everyone this Halloween.”

Final Exhibit will see visitors enter what appears to be a spectacular exhibition of newly discovered Alton Towers artefacts, before being lured into the hidden archive of The Curator, a terrifying figure obsessed with preserving the past. Guests will soon discover that the collection is not made up of objects alone. Those who fail to escape are transformed into living exhibits, trapped within the archive Forever.

  • Aldi has a very cheap storage solution

Aldi has a very cheap storage solution

If your wardrobe is permanently overflowing, Aldi may have a very simple — and very cheap — solution.

The supermarket has introduced an Easy Home Collapsible Wardrobe Organiser, priced at just £3.99, designed to give you extra storage without needing to buy a bigger wardrobe or bulky furniture.

The organiser is particularly handy if you’re short on space.

One version hangs directly from your wardrobe rail and provides six separate shelves, giving you somewhere to keep folded clothes, accessories, shoes or children’s outfits.

There’s also a blanket-storage version for anyone struggling to find room for bulky bedding and throws.

And the best part? There’s no complicated DIY involved.

You simply hang or position the organiser where you need it, giving you extra compartments almost instantly.

For busy households, it could be a particularly useful way of keeping everyday items together — rather than digging through piles of clothes every morning.

At £3.99, it’s also considerably cheaper than investing in a whole new storage system.

Of course, availability can vary, so shoppers interested in the Aldi Specialbuy will want to check their local store.

But if your wardrobe is crying out for a bit of organisation, this could be one of those small purchases that makes a surprisingly big difference.

    £3.99 for extra wardrobe storage?

That might be worth making a trip to Aldi for.

  • Aldi launches unusual jacket that transforms into a shopping bag in seconds

Aldi launches unusual jacket that transforms into a shopping bag in seconds

Aldi has come up with an unusual solution for one of the most common supermarket problems – forgetting your reusable shopping bags.

The supermarket has unveiled its new “Swag For Life Jacket”, a waterproof jacket that can be transformed into a reusable shopping bag in around 10 seconds.

The limited-edition garment is designed as a navy bomber jacket, complete with a funnel neck, pale blue and orange detailing, large pockets and Aldi branding. Once shoppers reach the checkout, the jacket can be folded away and converted into a grocery-sized bag.

The unusual launch comes after research commissioned by Aldi found that 46% of Brits regularly forget to take their reusable bags when heading out for their weekly shop. The research also found that 85% of people have a collection of reusable bags at home, while 47% said they buy another bag at least once a month after forgetting to take one with them.

Younger shoppers appear particularly interested in the idea, with 66% of Gen Z respondents saying they would find a jacket that doubles as a shopping bag useful.

And forgetting a bag can lead to some inventive alternatives. Aldi’s research found that people have resorted to using everything from cardboard boxes and sports bags to buckets, picnic baskets and even wheelbarrows to get their groceries home.

The jacket itself isn’t being added to Aldi’s regular clothing range. Instead, a limited number are being offered through an email giveaway, which launched on September 23.

Those hoping to get their hands on one can enter by emailing their full name to SwagForLife@aldi.co.uk by October 6, 2026. Full terms and conditions are available through Aldi’s website.

Aldi’s Chief Commercial Officer Julie Ashfield said the idea was designed to ensure shoppers would never be without a reusable bag at the checkout, describing the jacket as a practical option for the colder months.

With autumn now arriving, Aldi’s quirky creation combines two everyday essentials into one – a jacket to wear and a shopping bag to carry.

  • Lidl launches £20 ‘2-in-1’ side table that looks similar to a £75 Homebase design

Lidl launches £20 ‘2-in-1’ side table that looks similar to a £75 Homebase design

Lidl is adding another affordable piece of furniture to its middle aisle, and shoppers looking for a stylish way to add extra storage to their homes could be interested.

The supermarket is set to sell its LIVARNO side table for just £19.99 from Sunday, September 27. The piece combines a tabletop with hidden storage, giving it a practical two-in-one design.

The round table measures around 39cm in diameter and 37cm high. It features a natural wood-effect finish, a removable lift-up top and a sturdy powder-coated steel frame. Lidl says the storage compartment provides 28 litres of space, while the tabletop can support up to 25kg.

Its simple design means it could work as a bedside table, sofa-side table or occasional table, while the concealed storage provides somewhere to keep blankets, books or other household items out of sight.

The £19.99 price tag is likely to be one of its biggest attractions, particularly when compared with similar-looking furniture available from more expensive retailers. The Mirror reports that the Lidl design has similarities to a £75 Homebase option, potentially giving shoppers a saving of more than £50.

The table is also made using 100% FSC-certified wood, according to Lidl, and comes with a three-year warranty. Assembly is required, although the necessary fixings and instructions are included.

The new furniture item is expected to be available in Lidl stores from Sunday. As with many of the supermarket’s middle-aisle launches, shoppers may want to check availability before making a trip, as stock can vary between stores.

  • 7 Smart Ways to Cut Your Supermarket Bill This Week

Welcome to Supermarket Discounts & competitions, your friendly shortcut to better-value baskets, timely offers, and fun chances to win. We track the deals worth knowing about so you can spend less time searching and more time enjoying your shop.

    Start With a Simple Plan

A few small habits can make a noticeable difference at the checkout. Use this quick guide before your next supermarket run.

    • Check your cupboards first. Build meals around what you already have and only add the missing ingredients.
    • Compare unit prices. The shelf label can reveal when a larger pack is genuinely better value and when it is not.
    • Shop seasonal produce. Fruit and vegetables in season are often fresher and kinder to your budget.
    • Make a list and stick to it. A focused list helps avoid those tempting extras that quietly inflate the total.

    Make Offers Work Harder

Multibuys and loyalty prices can be useful, but only when they fit your normal routine. Treat every promotion as a prompt to compare, not an automatic reason to buy.

The best deal is the one you will actually use before it expires.

    Keep an Eye on Competitions
