99p body mist compares to £265 version

Home Bargains shoppers can enjoy a luxurious-smelling body mist for less than £1, with some comparing the affordable fragrance to Maison Francis Kurkdjian’s Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum, which can cost up to £265.

The Designer Fragrances Rouge Body Mist is available at Home Bargains for just 99p. The 250ml spray can be purchased online and is also expected to be available in stores across the UK in the personal care section.

Home Bargains describes the body mist as a fragrance featuring Moroccan spices and floral jasmine, offering a refreshing scent designed to add a touch of luxury to everyday routines.

The retailer also says the spray delivers an intense, rich fragrance. Its Designer Fragrances range is known for offering affordable scents inspired by more expensive perfumes.

Some shoppers have drawn comparisons between the Rouge Body Mist and Baccarat Rouge 540 by Maison Francis Kurkdjian. For those looking to recreate a luxury fragrance experience on a budget, the 99p body mist could be an affordable alternative to explore.

By comparison, Baccarat Rouge 540 Eau de Parfum is sold at John Lewis for up to £265, making the Home Bargains option considerably cheaper.

  • Release date for Lidl air fryer similar to £130 Ninja model

Release date for Lidl air fryer similar to £130 Ninja model

Lidl is launching a new Silvercrest 6.7L Air Fryer in the Middle Aisle this week on Thursday 15 October 2026.

Priced at just £32.99, the appliance is being positioned as a direct, highly budget-friendly competitor to premium models like the Ninja MAX 6.2L (which usually retail around £129.99).

Key Features of the Silvercrest 6.7L Air Fryer

    • 7 Preset Programs: Includes dedicated modes for Air Fry, Ultra Crisp, Roast, Bake, Reheat, Dehydrate, and Prove.
    • The new model boasts a generous 6.7-litre capacity (with a 5.6-litre usable volume) that can comfortably handle up to 1kg of chips.
    • Temperature and Control: Operates with a wide temperature range spanning from 40°C to 240°C, controlled via a digital screen and manual selection dial.
    • High Power: Runs on 2150W for rapid cooking speeds.
    • Easy Cleanup: Features a removable frying basket and trivet treated with a high-quality ILAG® non-stick coating, both of which are fully dishwasher-safe.
    • Warranty: Comes backed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty

Lidl adds: “Frying basket and trivet with high-quality non-stick coating from ILAG: very good system with excellent corrosion resistance. It Includes an instruction manual and recipe book. Frying basket and trivet are dishwasher-safe.”

The most significant difference between the two air fryers is the price. The Ninja AF170UK typically retails for between £100 and £129.99, while Lidl’s Silvercrest alternative will be available for just £32.99. This represents an upfront saving of around £67 to £97, making it a considerably more budget-friendly option.

Lidl’s model also comes with a three-year manufacturer’s warranty, offering an extra year of coverage compared with Ninja’s standard two-year registered warranty. With a slightly larger capacity, the Silvercrest air fryer can also accommodate more food in a single batch, potentially reducing the number of cooking cycles needed and helping households save on electricity.

  • The Bargains to Buy in Aldi’s Festive Home Range

The Bargains to Buy in Aldi’s Festive Home Range

Aldi is helping shoppers get into the festive spirit without breaking the bank, with a new Christmas homeware range starting from just £2.99.

The budget supermarket is bringing out a collection of festive decorations, twinkling lights and cosy accessories designed to turn homes into a winter wonderland without leaving shoppers out of pocket.

With household budgets still under pressure, the range offers an affordable way to add some Christmas magic, whether shoppers are looking to brighten up their front doors, decorate their living rooms or add a few seasonal touches to their shelves.

What’s included in Aldi’s Christmas range?

The collection features a mix of lighting, decorative accessories and cosy Christmas-themed furnishings, with prices designed to appeal to bargain hunters.

Among the highlights are LED Christmas String Lights for £2.99, making them an inexpensive option for windows, staircases and festive displays.

Shoppers looking to make more of a statement can pick up a Wreath with Lights for £14.99, while those wanting to add some Christmas charm indoors can opt for a Teddy Fluffy Cushion priced at £4.99.

The cushions come in a selection of novelty designs, including candy canes, Christmas trees, presents, gingerbread houses and gingerbread men.

Other items include a Bristle Tree for £4.99, Hot Air Balloons for £4.99 and Christmas Bauble Glass decorations, also priced at £4.99.

The variety means shoppers can mix and match pieces to create a festive look without having to spend a fortune on decorations.

When will Aldi’s Christmas decorations be available?

Aldi is rolling out its festive homeware in stages throughout October and November, giving shoppers several opportunities to pick up different pieces.

The first wave of the Christmas Home range arrives in stores on 15 October 2026.

More decorations, including the Wreath with Lights and LED Christmas String Lights, are scheduled to arrive on 29 October.

The Teddy Fluffy Cushions are expected to follow on 12 November, giving shoppers another chance to add some festive character to their homes.

Aldi is also introducing a separate collection of Christmas decorations, with selected items starting from £1.99.

These include tinsel decorations and Christmas light chains, offering even more ways to decorate on a budget.

    More festive bargains for shoppers

The Christmas Home collection is not Aldi’s only seasonal offering this autumn.

The retailer is also launching a Winter Home range featuring furniture, soft furnishings and ambient lighting, with prices starting from £2.49.

The wider collection includes decorative lighting and accessories designed to give homes a cosy, stylish feel without the hefty price tag often associated with seasonal interiors.

With several ranges arriving over the coming weeks, shoppers can gradually build up their Christmas decorations rather than buying everything in one go.

Shoppers warned not to leave it too late

As with Aldi’s popular Specialbuys, the festive products will be available while stocks last.

That means shoppers hoping to get their hands on particular decorations may want to visit stores early, especially if they have their eye on statement pieces or novelty designs.

The staggered launch dates also mean it is worth checking when individual products are due to arrive, rather than assuming the entire collection will be available from day one.

For anyone hoping to give their home a festive makeover without spending a fortune, Aldi’s latest range could offer a wallet-friendly way to get Christmas-ready.

With prices starting at £2.99, shoppers can add a little seasonal sparkle without splashing out on expensive decorations.

  • Lidl’s jumper looks similar to John Lewis’ £135 version

Lidl’s jumper looks similar to John Lewis’ £135 version

Shoppers looking to stay cosy this autumn without splashing the cash could be in luck, as Lidl is bringing back its bargain-friendly fashion finds — including a chunky knit jumper for just £6.99.

With temperatures dropping and chilly winds setting in, a warm knit is a wardrobe essential. And Lidl’s latest Special Buy could be just the ticket for fashion fans hoping to get a stylish autumn look for less.

Available in stores from Sunday, October 18, the Esmara Ladies’ Beige Chunky Knit Jumper costs just £6.99 and features a Norwegian-inspired pattern that could easily catch the eye of shoppers browsing the high street.

The beige jumper features a jacquard design, raglan sleeves and ribbed cuffs, giving it a cosy, seasonal look that’s ideal for layering on colder days.

According to Lidl, the knit is made from 73% acrylic, 21% recycled polyester, 4% wool and 2% elastane, with Lycra included to help provide a comfortable fit.

Available in small, medium and large, the budget buy offers shoppers an affordable way to refresh their autumn wardrobe without spending a fortune.

Lidl’s £7 jumper compared with John Lewis’ £135 design

The supermarket’s latest knitwear offering has a similar look to a much pricier option from John Lewis.

The department store is selling the Hush Meryl Roll Neck Fairisle Jumper in sand brown for £135 — a whopping £128.01 more than Lidl’s version.

Both jumpers feature a Norwegian-style pattern across the upper body, making them appealing options for anyone who loves traditional winter knitwear.

However, there are some noticeable differences between the two designs.

Lidl’s £6.99 jumper has a classic ribbed crew neckline, raglan sleeves and a more standard fit. Meanwhile, the Hush design features a high, relaxed roll neck, dropped shoulders and a more oversized silhouette.

The materials and overall construction also differ, so the two jumpers aren’t identical.

    A winter wardrobe bargain?

For shoppers who love the look of designer-inspired knitwear but don’t fancy spending £135 on a single jumper, Lidl’s offering could be worth a look.

At less than £7, the supermarket’s version could be an affordable option for pairing with jeans, leggings or a skirt for an easy autumn outfit.

Of course, shoppers should bear in mind that the designs differ in fit, neckline and materials, so the best choice will depend on personal preference.

The bottom line? If you’re after a cosy, Norwegian-inspired knit without the high-street price tag, Lidl’s £6.99 jumper could be one to look out for when it lands in stores on October 18.

As with Lidl’s other Special Buys, availability may vary by store, so shoppers keen to get their hands on one may want to check their local branch.

  • Date revealed for major Tesco Clubcard change

Date revealed for major Tesco Clubcard change

If you scan your Tesco Clubcard at checkout, your app is about to look very different. Tesco has begun rolling out a brand-new digital feature to its 23 million loyalty members across the UK, marking one of the biggest updates to the Clubcard app in years. The change, which started appearing in stores and on phones in early October 2026, blends artificial intelligence with everyday grocery shopping in a way Tesco has never attempted before.

The headline addition is an AI-powered customer assistant built directly into the Clubcard experience. It uses a shopper’s own purchase history to suggest recipes, recommend meals based on what’s already in the cupboard, and help manage weekly food budgets. Tesco quietly tested the tool with roughly 280,000 staff members before opening it to the public, a trial period that reportedly shaped how the assistant now talks to customers [3][13].

    Key Takeaways

    • Tesco Rolls Out Major New Clubcard Feature to 23 Million Shoppers This Week as part of a phased UK-wide app update beginning in October 2026.
    • The centerpiece is an AI assistant that analyzes Clubcard purchase data to suggest personalized recipes and meal ideas [3][13].
    • The tool was trialled internally with about 280,000 Tesco employees before the public launch [3][13].
    • Shoppers can search meals by cost or cuisine, or type in leftover ingredients to get waste-reducing recipe suggestions [13].
    • The update works alongside existing tools like Your Clubcard Prices, which already tailors discounts to shopping habits [10][11].

What the New Clubcard Feature Actually Does

At its core, the update gives Clubcard members a kind of digital kitchen assistant. Tesco describes it as enabling a “natural, two-way dialogue” between the app and the shopper, rather than a static list of offers [3]. Because it draws on real Clubcard transaction data, the suggestions are meant to reflect what a household actually buys and eats, not generic recipe content pulled from the internet.

Shoppers can ask the assistant for meal ideas that fit a certain budget, a particular cuisine, or ingredients they already have sitting in the fridge [13]. Type in a few leftover items, and the tool returns recipes designed to use them up before they spoil. This directly targets food waste and grocery overspending, two pressure points for UK households navigating tight budgets [6][13].

What the New Clubcard Feature Actually Does

The feature sits inside the same app where shoppers already manage digital vouchers and check Clubcard Prices, so there’s no separate download required. Tesco has described the change as a “major Clubcard change” that applies across its store formats, including Superstores, Extra locations, and smaller Express shops.

How Tesco Rolls Out Major New Clubcard Feature to 23 Million Shoppers This Week in Practice

The scale of this rollout is significant. Tesco’s Clubcard base now exceeds 23 million UK households, and the card is used in the vast majority of Tesco sales, making it one of the largest loyalty programmes in the country [8][11][14]. That reach is exactly why Tesco rolls out major new Clubcard feature to 23 million shoppers this week rather than testing it on a small regional footprint.

The pattern mirrors how Tesco has handled past loyalty innovations. Earlier personalized pricing trials, sometimes referred to internally as “Your Clubcard,” followed the same approach: test quietly with limited groups, refine based on feedback, then expand nationally [11]. The AI assistant follows that same playbook, moving from a staff-only trial to a full customer launch once Tesco judged it ready [3][13].

Industry analysts tracking loyalty programmes note that Clubcard has steadily shifted from simple points collection toward deeper personalization, including faster voucher generation and tailored partner rewards, which has helped push membership past the 23 million mark [8]. The AI assistant is widely seen as the next step in that strategy rather than a standalone gimmick.

Getting the Most Out of the Update

Shoppers who want to use the new feature right away should take a few simple steps:

    • Update the Tesco app through the App Store or Google Play to ensure the latest version is installed.
    • Open the app and check the home screen or Clubcard section for a new assistant or chat-style prompt.
    • Log in with an active Clubcard account, since the assistant relies on linked purchase history to generate suggestions.
    • Try asking for meal ideas by budget, cuisine, or leftover ingredients to see how recommendations compare to personal shopping habits.
    • Cross-check suggested recipes against items already marked as Your Clubcard Prices discounts in the app that week [10].

Because Your Clubcard Prices already tailors weekly discounts based on past purchases, pairing it with the new assistant can stretch savings further [10][11]. A shopper planning a meal suggested by the assistant can check whether any required ingredients also carry a personalized discount that week, effectively layering two data-driven tools on top of each other.

    What Comes Next for Clubcard

Retail observers expect Tesco to keep building on this foundation. Commentary from loyalty specialists suggests further AI-driven features could arrive by 2027 or 2028, potentially including tighter budgeting integration or recipe suggestions filtered by health or sustainability goals [8]. Given Tesco’s history of incremental rollouts, following a staff trial with a full customer launch, this is likely just the first visible step rather than a finished product.

Tesco rolls out major new Clubcard feature to 23 million shoppers this week, and the change goes well beyond a simple app refresh. By combining AI-generated recipe suggestions with existing tools like Your Clubcard Prices, Tesco is giving shoppers a more personalized way to plan meals, cut food waste, and manage grocery spending. Members should update their app now, explore the new assistant, and compare its suggestions against active Clubcard Prices to get the most value from every shop this month.

    Hobbycraft launches Craftober 2026

Hobbycraft, the UK’s leading arts and crafts retailer, has launched Craftober 2026, offering exclusive discounts and workshops to customers nationwide.

One of the best things about crafting is that everyone can get involved, whether they’re trying a new hobby, developing existing skills or creating something that can be proudly displayed at home.

As part of the Craftober promotion, shoppers can use the code CRAFT in store and online to save money. Customers can get £5 off when spending £20 or £10 off when spending £40.

The offers are available from Thursday, October 8 until Wednesday, October 21, with deals designed to appeal to both adults and children. Hobbycraft is also offering 20% off workshops, both in store and online.

With the October half-term approaching, the discounts could provide parents with a screen-free way to keep children entertained while encouraging them to get creative.

    Halloween and Christmas crafts

With Halloween just around the corner, children can take part in seasonal activities including ceramic pumpkin painting, wreath-making and decorating projects.

Parents can also stock up on five £4 activities for £15 instead of £20, giving them plenty of craft projects to keep little ones busy.

The sets include a Paint By Numbers Halloween Kit, Paint Your Own Ceramic Halloween Figures 10 Pack, Haunted House Colour-In Canvas, Halloween Colour and Sticker Activity Book and a Witch’s Hat Bead Box.

Little crafters can also start getting ready for Christmas with make-your-own advent calendars, ceramic baubles and festive craft kits.

The £20 Colour-In Cardboard Gingerbread House, for example, provides a blank canvas for children to decorate with their own creative designs. Shoppers could pair it with the £26 pack of 70 colouring pencils and, by spending enough to qualify, potentially save £10 from their overall basket.

Terms and conditions for the Hobbycraft Craftober discounts

    • To redeem the CRAFT code online, enter CRAFT in the discount code box at checkout.
    • To redeem the offer in store, simply quote the code at the till.
    • The CRAFT code cannot be used towards workshops, subscriptions, gift cards, trading cards, Geek Retreat events, food or beverages.
  • Date Lidl £5 trousers – look like £189 M&S – are for sale

Date Lidl £5 trousers – look like £189 M&S – are for sale

On Sunday, October 18, shoppers will be able to get their hands on Lidl’s Ladies’ Blue Loungewear Trousers for just £4.99.

The new budget-friendly arrival taps into the popular athletic side-stripe aesthetic and will land in Lidl’s famous Middle Aisle as a limited-time promotional feature.

The upcoming release is aimed at shoppers looking for affordable, relaxed alternatives to viral fashion trends. The new Esmara blue loungewear trousers are designed for casual comfort at home and are made from recycled polyester and Lycra for a comfortable fit.

The trousers feature a simple pull-on elasticated waistband, making them easy to wear for lounging or everyday casual looks.

The £4.99 trousers could be a budget-friendly alternative for anyone who likes the look of Marks and Spencer’s Side Stripe Wide Leg Trousers but wants to keep spending to a minimum.

At a glance, both pairs have a similar navy and white colour palette, wide-leg shape and sporty side-stripe aesthetic. For shoppers prioritising affordability and comfort, Lidl’s version could offer an accessible way to embrace the navy-and-stripe trend without the higher price tag.

However, there are some noticeable differences between the two pairs beyond the price, particularly when it comes to tailoring and materials.

The M&S trousers are made from crease-resistant polyester and offer a more structured, flowing silhouette designed to hold its shape throughout the day. They also feature more sophisticated tailoring details, including a concealed hook-and-bar zip fastening, integrated side pockets and a mid-to-high-rise waist.

The product description highlights the trousers’ tailored style and sporty edge, with a wide-leg silhouette and flattering mid-rise waist made from crease-resistant fabric.

The £4.99 Lidl trousers could also appeal to shoppers who like the look of Next’s Navy Side Stripe Tailored Wide Leg Trousers but don’t want to spend £45. Both styles share a sporty navy-and-stripe aesthetic, although Next’s version differs in terms of material, construction and tailoring.

The Esmara trousers will be available in Lidl stores nationwide from next Sunday, while stocks last.

Given the popularity of Lidl’s fashion lookalikes and their tendency to sell out quickly, shoppers interested in picking up a pair may want to check their local store early. Once the stock is gone, it’s gone.

  • Boots shoppers rushing to snap up £55 gift set for £27

Boots shoppers rushing to snap up £55 gift set for £27

Boots has slashed the price of a popular White Fox gift set by more than half – and it could prove a Christmas hit with Gen Z and younger shoppers.

Christmas shopping might feel a little way off, but Boots has already given bargain hunters a reason to get ahead, with a selection of its Star Gifts now heavily reduced.

One of the deals likely to grab attention is the White Fox Vol 2. Tote Bag, which has been cut from £55 to just £27 – giving shoppers a £28 saving.

Australian fashion and lifestyle brand White Fox has become hugely popular for its oversized loungewear, particularly among younger shoppers, making the latest Boots offering a potentially tempting Christmas present.

And it isn’t just a tote bag.

The set includes a White Fox branded tote designed to hold all those everyday essentials, whether it’s being used for shopping, brunch or a day out.

Inside, shoppers will also find a 60ml Coco Spritz Hair and Body Mist, featuring tropical and coconut-inspired notes.

There’s also a Grape Graze Lip Balm, complete with a statement mirror, plus a lemon claw clip for finishing off the look.

With the set only recently appearing on the Boots website, there aren’t customer reviews to judge it by yet. However, the combination of the White Fox branding, beauty products and accessories could make it an appealing stocking filler or Christmas gift for younger shoppers.

    What shoppers need to know

The biggest attraction is clearly the price.

The White Fox Vol 2. Tote Bag has dropped from £55 to £27, meaning shoppers save £28 while the offer is available.

But bargain hunters may want to avoid leaving it until December.

Boots’ Star Gifts are designed around limited-time promotions, and popular beauty and fashion gift sets can disappear quickly as Christmas approaches.

Other deals currently available include the Habi The Ultimate Glow Edit, which has fallen from £50 to £24.50.

The set contains a selection of beauty products, including gummies, a hair and body mist, jelly mask, hydrating serum, toner, moisturiser and lip gloss.

There’s also a Boots X NARS Beauty Icons Gift Set, reduced from £77.90 to £35 – a saving of £42.90.

The NARS set comes in a black make-up bag and includes blush, luminizer and lipstick.

And Boots isn’t the only retailer cutting prices. Sephora has also reduced its Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Dewy Skin Routine Kit, with the price falling from £59 to £47.20.
